On 23 September in Katunica (small village near Plovdiv) there was a murder of a young boy,which was particularly insolent.19-year-old Angel was smashed by a van driven by gypsies.That criminal act was caused by a conflict between the victim and a gypsy boy.The gypsy boy is a grandson of the so-called "gypsy baron" and famous criminal,who lives in Katunica.The car accident was deliberate and after that the van smashed three of the friends of the killed boy and three police officers. That tragedy made people from the village go away protesting against the gypsy clan and their terror.During the procession the heart of Pavel (one of the closest friends of killed Angel) did not stand the pressure and the boy passed away.
Later the local people received great support by football fans from Plovdiv,Sofia,Stara Zagora.The property of gypsy clan was smashed down - cars were broken and some of the houses were burned.
In the next days protests against the brutal murder of Angel and the death of Pavel continued in all the big Bulgarian cities - Sofia,Plovdiv,Varna,Burgas,Stara Zagora,Ruse,Vraca,Shumen,Veliko Tarnovo,Lovech,Pleven,Pazardzhik.Thаt was unprecedented allience of all football fans in Bulgaria who lead the protests in every town.Most of the protest meetings turned into attacks against gypsy ghettos - gypsies were beaten and sheds were burned down.The most vicious riots were in Sofia,Plovdiv and Varna.
On 1 October in Sofia and 2 October in Plovdiv there were peaceful protests which united not only football fans but many young people,rockers,students.They exposed their demands for equality of rights and end of gypsy terror.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION !!! - On 8 October (Saturday) at 16h at Lokomotiv stadium in Plovdiv there will be a football match between youth teams of Bulgaria and Russia.The game is a part of charity campaign for the families of deceased boys from Katunica.Tickets have symbolic price of 2 leva and collected resources will be endowed to needing families.
